Spring Time Is Perfect For Redecorating
There is nothing like the bright sunshine, cool breeze, and birds chirping, to make you want to open all the windows in your house and clean and decorate like crazy! I just love the feeling new starts. Spring cleaning for me always leads to decorating and changing up the look of the rooms with the best in everything. What best means is at https://www.halfpriceblinds.com.au.
This is the perfect time to think about home safety. As we are cleaning, it’s important to consider this question: how can we make our home safer for our babies?
Thankfully the Window Covering Safety Council has some tips for us!
Life-Saving Benefits of Cordless or Inaccessible Cord Window Blinds & Shades
Window blinds that have loose or looped cords are dangerous for young children. They pose a risk for strangulation that can be easily avoided.
When you upgrade to cordless or inaccessible window blinds or roller shades, you are protecting your young children and possibly saving their lives. Then also have a look at https://shuttersdesign.co.uk/ if you love shutters, as they do the best window shutter installations that are available.
Safest Types of Window Blinds
The safest types of window blinds for use around young children are the kinds without cords that hang loosely down. Some of my favorite custom roller blinds include:
- Cordless Window Blinds
- Curtains without cords
If you’re looking for alternative to blinds, consider House Screens as they can also completely block outsiders from being able to see in and will keep a clean look.

Best For Kids Window Blind Certification
One of my best tips for redecorating if you have kids is to look for the Best For Kids certification on window blinds in sydney. This is a fairly new certification created by the window blind industry to communicate that a product is safe for use around children.
Products that qualify for “Best for Kids” either have no cords, no operating cords and inner cords that are not accessible, or if accessible inner cords are present in products with no operating cords, the accessible inner cords cannot create a hazardous loop.
Please share this post (and the PSA) with your friends! Lets make this spring cleaning one about making our homes safer for our kids and the kids that we welcome into our homes.
