Closed: Congrats #25 Missy!
Lizzie and her cousin Mycah love this series! The most adorable thing is that Mycah has “claimed” the color pink as hers, so Lizzie gets all things purple. Hence we have a Pinkerella and Purplella (try saying that word!) Mycah actually got Pupleiscious for her birthday last year and does not own a copy of Pinkalicious. Yet. Thanks to this review Lizzie and Mycah can borrow each other’s books in their favorite colors.
I hope Lizzie is ok with letting Mycah borrow Pinkalicious though. She really loves to read it. Have you heard of it? Surely you have – and Lizzie got all happy when we went to Burger King and got a Pinkalicious crown in her happy meal!
As a mom, I found the storyline to be delightful and funny. Pinkalicious wants her way and not to obey her parents. When she disobeys them a horrible thing happens and she realizes they were right all along. That is something I definitely want Lizzie to learn!
And you just can’t go wrong with the color pink.
Purchase your own copy of Pinkalicious on Amazon.com or wherever children’s books are sold!
I have 1 hardcover edition of Pinkalicous to give away! USA only please

Well , even though this book would be for my daughter , my stories are about my sons:
Lets see…multiple times where I have told the boys to wear their winter boots or jackets ~ For some reason they hate wearing them and try to sneak out without them almost everyday ~ There has been a few times where they got out without me noticing that they don’t have their winter stuff and them come home freezing…
Then there is that my son likes to swim in the wading pool in the summer..but the water is cold. So HE thinks if he wears his shirt in the water he will be warmer..I keep trying to tell him he would be warmer if he kept the shirt DRY to put on later ! It took a while to get him to try keeping the shirt dry before he realized I was right.
Wow , still got number 1 huh. I left this page open overnight thought someone else would have entered for sure !
Anyway , tweeted for today :

Disobeyed? When doesn’t she?
One time, on the potty, I told her she had to hold herself up…she didn’t and she fell in!

My favorite line with the kids when I’ve told them not to do something and they hurt themselves doing it anyway is “It will feel better when it stops hurting.” They really have to think about that one for a second and then I get the eyeroll. LOL

Let’s see, it’s kind of hard to answer since my son is still a bit young, but one time he was trying to undo his diaper. I told him not to because he could make a mess. He took off his diaper, ran around the living room, and then pooped on the rug. Not really sure if that means that he or I actually learned something!

Not sure if this is /that/ funny of a story but my daughter is taking swimming lessons and I told her a number of times not to run on the deck. Well, sure enough she was running to me after class was over and slipped and fell. I just wanted to say “I told you so!” Needless to say she hasn’t run on the deck since!

My DD is only 16 months old but just recently she has learned to say no when she doesn’t want something. And it’s not that she just says no she shakes her head at you.
When she does it to me, it makes me mad but FIL asked her to come to him and she said no and it was hilarious!!!

I don’t have children but I have seen my niece disobey in funny ways. Like how she will try and bargain her way

I think the funniest time my child disobeyed was when I told him not to be jumping up and down with the soda can in his hand. When he finally stopped jumping and opened his soda, he was quite surprised by the results. Email subscribe.

I’ll never forget the time I accidentally left the diaper cream in my daughter’s room. She was about 2 and has always wanted to do things she knew Mommy was supposed to do by herself. When I went to get her up from her nap a strong smell came from her room. When I opened the door she looked wrong to me, but it wasn’t until I got her into the light that I realized she was covered head to toe… hair, lips, pajama top, everything, with white cream. The bath wouldn’t take it off because, lo and behold, it’s waterproof, and she has darker skin and hair so every time she took a bath, went in the public pool, etc. for days on end the cream would start to absorb water again and she’d end up with a white coating all over her that was quite obvious. crayolswap at hotmail dot com

I foloow with google. One time I forgot to put my bike away and mom made me put it clear out to the barn in the dark. That was a fast learning method.

One time my son told me he didnt need shoes to go outside (middle of the summer in Vegas) and went out the door.. needless to say listening to mama for now on about wearing shoes.. “Mom its hot can you bring me some shoes” as he stood in a shady spot which if you have ever been to vegas you know even the shade spots are hot.
I insisted that the Baker’s Chocolate was not sweet, but they thought otherwise. When they had some when I wasn’t looking, I told them that I had done the same when I was their age!

Story: My daughter had a friend over last summer for an all nighter. They were outside for awhile, I went to see what they was doing, and behold before my eyes they had covered their whole bodies from head-to-toe with mud, you couldn’t recognize them, the only thing that wasn’t covered was their eyes and nostrils. I asked them what possessed them to do this, they said they were pretending to be pigs. Now, that is real pretending imagination. After awhile they hosed themselves off. Crazy Girls!

This isn’t really funny, but my daughter has been biting her fingernails for about 2 or 3 months now. I told her if she keeps biting them, they will be sore, bleed & she will have a booboo. Well a few days ago her finger was all red & raw & looked like it had been bleeding. Still trying to figure out how to get her to stop. dramaqueensmum@gmail.com
