Whether you sell purses, clothes, toys, or makeup, learn how to host a direct sales party that will bring in the sales!
There is a lot of incentive for ladies to be successful hostesses for their direct sales friends. Depending on the company and time of year, you can make away with a lot of free product! I used to sell Discovery Toys and for hosting a party with $100 in sales you received $10 in free toys but for a $500-550 in sales you could earn $100 in free products!
Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Premier Designs Jewelry, these are all companies with fabulous hostess benefits so you have a lot to gain from a successful home or catalog party.
How To Host A Direct Sales Party That WORKS!
These are fabulous tips my team leader passed on to me and I hope you as a hostess can earn some fun things for not much work.
- Look at your church and community calendar. I made this mistake and planned a party on the same night as a church member’s wedding. Plan and book a party hire Melbourne during a time when child care can be provided by family members and you can expect the highest turnout.
- Over invite! You might think that inviting 20 people is a lot but the more people that attend the higher sales will be. And statistically about 30% of people invited actually come – so invite 30 people to have 10 there.
- Be excited about the product! If you are timid and feeling like you are just hosting the party to do a friend a favor you will gain almost nothing. Make your dream list about what you would like for free, start to really love what is in the catalog and your enthusiasm will be contagious and more people will attend with excitment. You want to have a party full of people that love what the rep is selling! I also suggest hiring a portable stage at https://portablestaging.uk/ to make a more creative use of your space.
- Get to know the catalog and sell to people that cannot come. I know the rep is the sales person, but you will have a lot more free products coming your way if you sell to people that cannot make it. If you are not comfortable asking for sales, hand out the catalog, tell the person what you love about the toys and ask if you can pass their info along to the rep.
- Invite and confirm in person. I know we all seem to be online, but with home or banquet room parties it is so much more effective to talk to people face to face about the party. They are much more likely to hit “delete” and not come if you only invite via a Facebook event or Evite. Remember that contagious enthusiasm? It happens from face to face encounters, not online.
Lastly, make sure to hire professional audio visual technician and lighting engineer who can provide professional AV expertise you need for events, including presentations, plays, and concerts.
Have you hosted a successful home party before? What did you do that brought in a bunch of sales for the rep?

I’m a Pampered Chef consultant, and my best show ever was where the host took the books to work with her. She caught 10 orders just from people who wern’t able to make it! She was able to get $500 in free product!!! As well as a bunch of 1/2 priced items! It was great!
