Build-A-Bear workshops open a child’s imagination by allowing them to create their very own bears and other animals from the fur to the shoes and accessories. They all come with a heart and a birth certificate to celebrate the day of the bear’s birth.
The day a little girl or boy creates, names and meets their new stuffed friend will always be etched in their memory. These workshops are wonderful ways bond with the child in your life. Whenever they hold the bear or change the clothes they will remember that fun day at the workshop with you.
Trips to the workshop really are magical for a child – watching the fur get stuffed and “come to life” with the heart and clothes is just amazing.
We never had one very close when I was younger. In fact, the closest Build-A-Bear workshop was 1 hour away from my house. If you don’t have a workshop close to you either you can go online. You can still pick out your bear or other animal and pick out the clothes. It will be stuffed and filled with a heart at the store and shipped to you with a birth certificate and inside its own house shaped box!
They have a new limited time collection call Zoorific – perfect for children who are not really into teddy bears but love all the animals they see at the zoo! They have a monkey, flamingo, parrot, leopard, giraffe, tiger and a panda.
To review Lizzie wanted the monkey, which was no surprise to me since she loves the “monkeys jumping on the bed” song. She named hers “baby monkey” – creative huh?
When it came in the house shaped box Lizzie couldn’t wait to open it up and see her monkey! She won’t let me throw the box away either, since that is Baby Monkey’s home.
I have to say I was impressed with how soft the fur is. This is a monkey Lizzie can cuddle with in bed and the soft fur will help her relax. Isn’t that smile on the monkey contagious? She plays with Baby Monkey all the time, tea parties or dress up.
Here is a video of Lizzie playing with the monkey, teaching it the Monkey Jumping on the bed song. Her daddy was helping, so Lizzie didn’t sing much of it, but it was still super cute!
