Closed: Congrats #43 JamericanSpice!
I have heard so many amazing things about Piggy Paint. When I was planning this event they were my #1 choice for nail polish for Lizzie. I was so excited when they agreed to join in the fun so I can share this product with you!
Lizzie loves to have her nails painted, but she also has a horrible habit of picking her lip. So whatever is on her nails inevitably ends up in her mouth. That is why Piggy Paint is so wonderful – all of their products are natural and non-toxic. This is not to say it is safe to let a toddler play with unattended, but I don’t have to worry if Lizzie happens to put her painted nails in her mouth an accidentally ingest bits and pieces of polish.
Their site really describes the product best. It is “water-based polish that is specially formulated of natural ingredients. Finally, a kid-friendly polish without the accompanying drawbacks of traditional polishes. It is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone… and made in the USA!” Can you get any better than this? I love that it is odorless. Lizzie loves to really get in close when I am painting her nails and now I don’t have to paint them outside and she can lean in as close as she wants to see me makin’ her nails all pretty!
Yes, those are Lizzie’s pretty little fingers, showing off how they are “just like Mycah’s!” Her cousin Mycah is 4 years old and the girliest girly girl you will meet. Lizzie hardly ever gets her fingers painted and now that we have Piggy Paint she can have them painted so much more. Maybe we can invite Mycah over for some girl time and paint all of our nails!
We were also sent the nail polish remover to review and I was given a perfect chance to review it when Lizzie spilled nail polish all over her hands and legs while trying to paint her nails herself. Usually nail polish removers stink to high heaven and leave your skin horribly dry. The Piggy Paint remover did have a smell but it was not knock-you-off-your-feet horrible. I could actually breath after using it. Since I used it on her entire hands I felt them afterward and they were pretty soft. How did it work? Very well! I just put a bit in a bowl and let her hand soak in it for a tiny bit. Then I swished it around and used a paper towel to dab the polish off her hands. I didn’t have to rub really hard or anything, it came right off – the key is the soaking!
For a limited time a portion of the sales from the Fight Breast Cancer pack will go to this worthy cause.
