And the Aquadoodle Disney Princess Wall Runner is a space saver and a wall saver. I saw Lizzie drawing on my wall before this event started and a friend suggested Aquadoodle and I am glad she did! The wall runner comes with putty that you can use to attach it to your wall so your children can draw safely on the wall.
The pen has only water in it, so if they want they can draw all over your walls with the Aquadoodle pen. I think this gives them freedom with limitations.
When the water dries, the artwork disappears, giving the child tons of time to play! And each wall runner comes with step by step instructions to draw different pictures on the sides too!
As soon as we received the Disney princess Aquadoodle Lizzie wanted it opened so she could draw on it. I put it on the wall and let her play! I did make one mistake, however. I did not tell her to use only the aquadoodle pen. And sure enough it was soon covered in lovely crayon artwork.
The Disney princess aquadoodle is not made the same as the original aquadoodle art mat. It is thinner and resemebles paper whereas the original has a cloth feel and a plastic backing. The original is easier to clean but the Disney one does clean, it just left a few pink marks where I cleaned the crayon off.
I used Mr. Clean magic eraser first and then switched to a mild handsoap and soft towel later with the same results. It is still very usable, it just has a marble look to it now.
The original Aquadoodle is much more sturdy and easier to clean. If you have a child that is older than Lizzie the Disney princess is perfect, especially if you hang it on the wall! The original is super for younger artists like mine (3 years old and 15 months old).
.. We discovered another really fun way to create art with the Aquadoodle! In the top-left photo we found foam stamps that we used in our artwork (and also to stick to the wall in the bathtub) and got them wet. After they have enough water on them you stamp just like you would with paint. Lizzie loves stamping and this was a mess free alternative to the paints we usually get out. You can also make your child’s hand damp with a cloth and stamp her hand on it. There are so many fun (and mess free) possibilities!
Here is a fun video of Lizzie playing with it. She is just barely learning her letters and tries to write out our names, it is so cute!
