Voskos Greek Yogurt is a quick and nutritious snack or boost to your breakfast. They adapted a Greek style of straining the yogurt that leaves it super thick and creamy – even the fat free varieties are super thick and delicious!
There are two available varieties and lots of flavors to choose from in each type.
The Voskos Greek Yogurt has 2x the protein of ordinary yogurt – making this a fabulous go-to snack for expecting mamas like me who need that boost of protein to keep me going through the day.
The most important thing about yogurt are the active & probiotic cultures, and I didn’t know this until I reviewed Voskos but these cultures help your immune system and digestive track stay healthy.
All Natural Greek Strained Yogurt
The all natural flavors are all high in protein, contain live & active probiotic cultures, are gluten free and do not have any rBST, rBGH or GMO.
There are lots of flavors that are all natural! Just look at their product page and you will see a wide variety from greek honey, exotic fig and wild strawberry to honey vanilla bean. And they have the original flavor in low fat, original, or non fat.
Organic Greek Strained Yogurt
The organic variety is also high in protein, contains live & active probiotic cultures, is gluten free and certified organic.
There is not as wide a variety of flavors in the organic selection. You can choose from plan, greek honey or vanilla bean. All three are non-fat.
We were given the opportunity to try every single flavor. Lizzie is my biggest critic of foods so I watched her reactions. All of the fruit-flavored all natural yogurts were devoured very quickly. She especially loved the wild blueberry. David and Lizzie both ate the organic greek honey yogurt in a day!
I did notice that all of the flavors – no matter the type – were very thick and creamy. I am not used to yogurt being so thick, it was a very pleasant surprise. I think it filled me up faster and I was left more satisfied.
The plain yogurt was not very delicious to any of us by themselves. The vanilla bean was delicious but the plain was too plain. We are used to buying flavored yogurt so that might be a problem. But after adding just a little bit of fruit or honey Lizzie was eating bowlfuls of the plain yogurt. I feel so happy to see her eating such healthy and wholesome foods.
Plus I love that these have even less of the “disgusting additives” as I call them and more just natural cultures and protein, the things we need to grow healthy. I love simplicity in my food. The less you add to it the better.
