The new line of infant feeding products from Infantino and Annabel Karmel can be used to make feeding nutritious foods fun for toddlers and preschoolers too. And I have found that toddlers and preschoolers are far pickier eaters than babies – so any tricks to make eating their veggies fun is worth the investment.
When it comes to kids this age, how you package it greatly influences their willingness to eat it – at least that is how my kids are. The Double Decker Meal box has a travel friendly lid that clips to the top, so I can put broccoli & dip inside and let 3 year old Lizzie open it up to see what is inside. It is all about the fun of meal time!
Even though it is fall, Lizzie and Bubs still love popsicles. I buy the V-8 splash that has veggies and fruit in it and freeze it using the Fill & Freeze Puree Pops. Not only are these the perfect size popsicles for her and David to use (those tubular ones or ones on a stick are just too big and they make a huge mess) but they think they are getting a treat and I know they are consuming fruits & veggies. I need to buy another couple of them though – Lizzie and Bubs can eat all six popsicles in a short amount of time.
And you can buy all these products and more at your local Toys R Us and Babies R Us. They are not on the TRU or BRU website, but are stocked at your local stores, so go check them out!
What are some other ways you make nutritious food look appealing? I love presentation ideas!
I am a participant in a Mom Central Consulting campaign for Infantino and have received various Infantino products as part of my participation.
