It is easy to have an indoor picnic without having to worry about the money! By focusing on finger foods and purchasing items that are not already made, you can have a delicious picnic! Since it is April and rainy most days, I had a fun little picnic with Lizzie and David’s cousins at my friend Tasha’s house. All 5 kids were simply thrilled with their food and the fun of hanging out with each other.
Turkey and cheese sandwiches are always more fun when you cut them with cookie cutters! And the kids loved having lemon lime soda in cans just their size. For the adults I bought a 2 liter of Dr. Pepper. Gotta get energy to chase after all these kids! The fresh fruit is the least messy kind. Oranges are fun, but sure make a mess when you peel them and they are too juicy for a living room picnic.
All the kids were 5 years old and younger, so they didn’t eat very much. But it wasn’t the food that made this picnic a blast – it was hanging out with all the cousins on an otherwise dreary day. You can’t replace the memories you make when you do something fun!
Now I need your votes! I entered a photo of my indoor picnic on the Better Homes and Garden Facebook fan page. I am competing to win a $200 Wal-mart gift card. I need your votes every single day. All you have to do is “Like” the Better Homes & Gardens Facebook page and then “Vote” for 5 Kids and a Picnic! If you click the bright pink button here (or the one in my sidebar) it will take you directly to my entry. So come back to Mama Dweeb every day and vote for me please!
Thanks!! You know you rock right?
I voted for you through the thread on MomDot but didn’t see any links here.
I had one letter wrong in the code and that pink button here in this post wasn’t hyperlinked correctly. Thank you for letting me know. This pink square is now hyperlinked to my entry and so is the button on my sidebar! Thank you for your votes.
