MomDot.com is the forum I am a part of. It is free to join and there are some amazing people that are a part of these boards. It is led/moderated (whatever you want to call “running the joint”) by three intelligent and driven ladies – Trisha of MomDot.com, Kim of Accidental Mommies and Karen of 3 Garnets 2 Sapphires. On the forum they support each other with comment love, tips and many more. Really to learn more you just need to join.
I do not have any personal experience with Bloggy Moms, but took a look around and was very impressed. They have lots of groups you can join – from increasing your followers, to sharing giveaways, facebook fan pages and button swaps. And they have a writer’s workshop where they give you a writing prompt once a week and you can hop around to other blogs that participated to read what they wrote.
The SITS Girls have a very active community at theSITSgirls.com. It was started as a place to help bloggers gain more comments by commenting on each other’s blogs. Now, if you go there they will pick one blog to feature each day. You comment on that blog then “check in” by commenting on SITS that you did. Then, they draw from that check in list for the next featured blog. Fair warning: if you get comments from SITS members, a majority of the comments will be “Hi! Stopping by from SITS!” Not always, but it does happen. Oh, and they also have twitter parties called #commenthour where everyone comments on the same blogs all at once. I really want to join this party sometime!
Theta Mom is an online community where you meet other bloggers. You go there, link your blog to her directory, put her badge on your site and then comment on the featured blogger every Friday. Theta Mom then picks a random commenter to feature the next week. Being featured there will give you an increase in exposure and through this community you will meet lots of new bloggers.
Jennifer James is the founder of Mom Bloggers Club. This site has sub groups for every type of blogger and ways to connect with others. They have groups for cloth diapering moms, deal bloggers, travel bloggers – whatever your niche you will find people like yourself to connect with. A sister site of Mom Bloggers Club is Mom Blog Magazine. This is brimful of ideas, inspiration and knowledge. I highly suggest you connect here.
Sister Janice and Susan are the founders of 5 Minutes for Mom. This site hosts lots of popular linkys, a job board, and sub pages for specialties like 5 Minutes for Special Needs and 5 Minutes for Faith. This is a wonderful place to go blog hop, read very helpful articles and discover new blog friends.
Ann Marie is a military wife and mom currently living in Germany. She created a directory of blogs written by other military wives or families involved in military life in some way. She is a huge online supporter of military wives – always there if you need a shoulder to cry on or a sympathetic ear or even some good advice. Definitely connect with Ann Marie if you are involved in military life – it will encourage your heart.
This list is not complete by any means. If you are involved in a community I might have missed, please let me know in the comments!
