So excited for the 5th “How do you say that” VLOG hop! Welcome to Friday the 13th! I have some fun words and questions below, spread the word (RT?) and let’s have fun hearing how we say things!
How it works:
You read the list of words and answer the list of questions on a vlog. Then, you upload the video to your blog and link up here so we can all go and see how we say things the same or different! It is amazing how many different ways there are to say something and really fun to hear the different accents (or lack of accents) from different places.
I’d love to hear from England, Canada and other countries! Let’s get the Dialect hop global!
The Words:
Aluminum, Dunce, Wagon, Carolina, Later, Misery, Told, Brother, Lord, Beer, Homemaker, Vacuum, Washer, Respond
The Questions:
1. What are the locals called where you are from?
2. What do you call the candy you suck on a stick?
3. What goes on top of your “to go cup of soda?”
4. Is tea sweet or unsweet?
5. What is another way of saying someone is “new” to something?
6. What do you call a place that is not anywhere NEAR a city? “out in the….”
7. What do you call people related to you? “they are my…..”
8. What do tell your children to call another adult? Do your children call them by their first name? Last name?
9. Do you know what cheese curds are? if so, do you like them?
10. what is a way to say, “Yes, I agree”?

Hey!!
First timer at the Vlog.—Gah– how hard it was to see myself but what a fun thing to do!
20 acres??? Seriously?
Annie @ Mama Dweeb says
Hi Amy! Glad to have ya! Oh yeah, 20 acres. We used to have goats, but sold them. Now we are home farming (I have a link to my posts in my sidebar) and someday Josh wants to get Guinea Hens. Supposedly those hens cut down on tick problems. We’ll see!

You are too cute!! Wow! 20 acres!! Must be awesome! I didn’t watch anyone’s videos til I did mine – it is more fun that way- oh and I am finally an email subscriber too so I don’t miss any of these.

Annie, I love how interested you are in all the dialects! And, I think my kids and myself would have a field day out in your yard. 🙂
I’m linked up and my bird decided to join me in this one!
