So it has been a couple weeks now, how is Rufus liking his Pedigree?
He loves it!
He eats the food very well, I can tell he likes the taste of the Pedigree more than the taste of his previous dog food – Science Diet.
What about the 4 universal needs?
1. Skin&Coat – His coat is shiny and healthy! I haven’t noticed a huge change in it – which is probably a good thing. He never really had a problem with his coat before and since changing food to Pedigree his coat has stayed just as healthy and shiny.
2. Oral Care – I’ll admit, I don’t check out his chops. From what I can tell they are ok? I do let him polish off our bones when I cook steak or ham, so I know that helps his teeth stay cleaner. But I’ll just have to skip this one and say his teeth seem ok to me.
3. Digestion (number of stools per day and quality) – I am totally skipping this one. We live out in the country and Rufus is an outside dog. I have no earthly idea what his stools are like.
4. Immunity (how often does your pup get sick?) – Rufus has never been sick since we got him. I am so thankful for this! And since switching to Pedigree his health has stayed just as wonderful. He seems happy and full of the same amount of energy.
This brings me to my next goal with Rufus – exercise! This dog is getting a smidge overweight. He’s a big dog to begin with but he is getting fat. This is mostly because he lays around the house all day long! If I put him outside I see him laying in the sun. I have a lazy dog. This is a good thing – he doesn’t try to knock down my kids. But I think I am going to start taking him on walks with a leash. Force this lazy dog to get some much needed exercise!

I wrote this review while participating in an Ambassador campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Pedigree and received dog food to facilitate my reviews and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
Your dog has such a sweet face! I begged my husband for a dog… then I ended up pregnant. Never got that dog 🙂
LOL!! Oh that is funny! We had a cute little dog, then got pregnant. I thought the dog would take away the baby fever, but it didn’t!
