Last week I started reviewing a workout DVD program called 20 Second Fitness. It comes with 4 weeks of daily workouts and 2 warmup weeks. I am just now starting on warmup week number 2. Last week was my first warmup week.
And I am not looking forward to the real weeks. If this is just supposed to “warm me up” then what the heck are the other weeks going to be like?
So in a word, yes, these workouts really do work your muscles. Each workout lasts anywhere from 4 minutes to 12 minutes. It is called “20 second fitness” because you do super intense workouts in 20 second increments. For example, in one daily workout I did the “plank” for 20 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds, then 20 seconds of push ups.
Intensity is the key. You work out super hard, super fast.
After warmup week 1 I can say that I felt the burn and my muscles were so incredibly sore! I loved it!
But, I did not lose a single pound or shed a single inch. After a bit of research I discovered it was because I wasn’t drinking enough water and my eating habits are a bit embarrassing.
So, starting warmup week 2 I am still at 145 lbs, 30 inch waist and 40 inch hips. I am determined to make changes!
