This is the sign that greets customers to the brand new Noodles & Company restaurant in Manhattan, Kansas. The Little Apple is undergoing a huge facelift in the 3rd street district. Already it has Olive Garden, Smash Burger and McAlister’s Deli. Noodles & Company is in good, well, company!
I had the chance to experience quite a few different dishes from the Noodles & Company menu and chat with the manager about the establishment’s history, goals and standards of perfection. I am very impressed with the quality of food they cook. As store manager Victoria Roberts said, “It is food that is fast, but extremely higher quality than fast food.”
The staff preps fresh vegetables and boils fresh noodles every single day. They do not have a freezer, only a cooler they use to keep veggies fresh. Everything is made as soon as you order it, so you know you are eating the freshest food possible.
Pictured above is their potstickers. They are amazing! I do not usually enjoy spicy foods and this dipping sauce has red pepper in it. Next time I go in I think I will ask them to hold the red pepper.
That is what I love about this place – the food is all made 100% custom to you! You can eat vegetarian, add meat, make it spicy, mild – whatever you want you can tell them and they will make it for you.
The very berry salad (Pictured above) is a huge delight! Crunchy pecans, sweet strawberries and a scrumptious balsamic vinaigrette were a perfect marriage. But what I loved even more was the freshly prepared croutons and feta cheese.
As I told my friends about my visit, they suggested I try the Parmesan crusted chicken with one of my dishes. Oh I totally think everyone should try the parm chicken! It is crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. I love that they serve the chicken like this – on the side – instead of mixed into the noodles. The parm chicken paired wonderfully with the Pasta Fresca. I was told by one of the cooks that it is delicious to request penne noodles instead of linguine for the “Whole Grain Tuscan linguine” dish.
This is the Bangkok curry with shrimp. This dish was a tad spicier than I prefer. The shrimp was blackened perfectly and topped with sesame seeds. There were crunchy, fresh veggies mixed into the noodles.
Noodles & Company has a deal perfect for feeding your family at home, or even larger parties. It is called the “Square Bowl.” It holds 3 lbs of pasta, about the same as 6 small bowls. You can call ahead and take the food home to your family, all for the price of $18! Not bad for a night you just don’t have time to cook.
Use their online store locator to see if there is a Noodles and Company near you and check them out of Facebook. I totally recommend you take your family or order their carry out. It is a very family friendly restaurant that serves healthy food for a modest price.
I was given the food pictures above for my review. All opinions are 100% my own, others might have different experiences.
They look delicious!
Yummo, that looks so delish! There is no Noodles & Company in my town but I see they have one about an hour and a half away. Hmm, maybe it’s time to commute. 😉
This sounds really good. I haven’t tried the one we have in town but I really want to as I’ve heard good things from them.
A Noodles and Company just recently opened in Ames and I’ve been dying to go check it out. That Parmesan chicken looks AMAZING.
