I almost didn’t want to post this. I don’t want to jinx it and I really don’t want to feel the public shame if next year we are not able to make this dream come true for her.
If you know Lizzie, you know she is one of the biggest dreamers and most passionate fan of Disney Princesses. She has been asking for almost a year now to meet the “real Disney princesses.” I want her to meet them. Because secretly, I want to meet them too. I have never visited Disney World/Land anything. I have always dreamed of taking a family vacation. I want to experience Disney! Oh yeah, this is for her.
That is why my blog has been so full of sponsored posts lately. Have you noticed? I’m working my tail off to promote products and brands I genuinely love so that I can save up to make Lizzie, David and Lucy’s dreams come true. Next year – if possible – we will meet Disney characters and make the most unforgettable memories ever! I really want to take my family on a Disney Cruise!
I have also started to cut corners in other ways. I am trying to continue to cook clean, whole foods, and healthy. But I still want to keep my grocery bill down. I’m keeping my eyes on my favorite deal blogs for cheap food. I am learning how to save with free coupon codes so I don’t overspend.
Cell phones and cell phone bills are one of the most expensive parts of my budget! I’m trying to find active promo codes for Verizon Wireless – I know there are some awesome ones! I want my cell phone bill to be lowered!
Something else that is costly is birthday parties. I absolutely love that Lizzie has friends and is invited to their parties. I actually check for Amazon deals constantly so I don’t have to pay full price for gifts. I also really love the parties that ask for “up cycled or gently loved toys.”
Finally, I am getting rid of our clutter, selling stuff we don’t use/need and refusing to replace one pile of clutter with another! I am buying less now, keeping my eyes focused on the goal.
I realize life will happen. Remember that scene in UP when they kept breaking that jar? That will happen. I just hope that with my hard work and focus, we can make Disney Cruise a reality!
