You know all that hype you are hearing about the fast and reliable Verizon 4G LTE service? Well it is totally true. If you have a plan that expires soon, it is totally worth it to upgrade to a phone that is 4G LTE capable.
I love – I mean adore – my iPhone 4S. I thought I was pretty cool when I held that button down and heard Siri talk back. And truth be told, I was kinda doubtful that the Droid Razr Maxx would be that much better than my iPhone. After a few months of using my Droid, I am won over.
Here is what I noticed about the 4G LTE service vs. my 3G iPhone:
- Downloading Apps: With my Droid, the apps download in a matter of seconds. I have waited a few minutes with my 3G iPhone. Now before you say, “yeah, big difference!” I will tell you it IS a big difference when the kids are tired and cranky during naptime at ballet and an app will cheer them up, and the minutes waiting for it to download wear down your sanity as they whine. Almost-instant downloading is that much less crying I have to hear, so totally worth it.
- GPS Navigation: With a speedy 4G LTE Service, there is virtually no “wait time” for finding directions. Once, somebody was driving around and we needed directions, we were slightly lost. My iPhone took so long to locate our directions that we ended up driving too far and had to make a U-Turn. Not a huge deal, but it is just so nice to have that instant direction.
- Uploading videos to YouTube: I blog on the go all the time. The fast 4G LTE uploads my videos so fast that I can vlog, put it on YouTube, and not have to wait and wait. My iPhone seriously took twice as long. Oh and my Droid multi-tasks better than my iPhone. I can upload to YouTube and use other apps without very much lag. Love it!
- HotSpot! My iPhone 4S cannot be used as an internet hotspot. But, if I take my Droid Razr Maxx with me, I can enjoy Wi-Fi on my laptop everywhere I go! That feature is really my ultimate favorite of all!
Your turn! Have you recently used both a 3G phone and Verizon 4G LTE? Did you notice a difference?
My contract with AT&T will be ending soon, and I’m looking to upgrade. I’ll definitely be checking out Verizon 4G LTE. Thanks for sharing.
