It’s that magical time of year again! Instead of going to the mall or ordering gifts online, have you thought about making any Christmas gifts this year? If so, I have the perfect tutorial for you! Seriously, if you have basically NO time and some extra T-shirts, you can make this easy tote. It’s useful, and, if you get a shirt that has some meaning, this gift can be extra special too.
The tutorial is up on the Alamo Rent A Car website.
Other DIY Gift Ideas that you have to try:
- Custom-Made Magnet Souvenir
- Postcard Photo Album
- Whipped Body Butter
I am a huge fan of DIY Christmas gifts. When you make gifts, it just means so much more. It is almost as if you are giving them gifts of your time and pieces of your heart too. Plus, you can customize the gifts so they remind you exactly of the person you are giving it to.
Annie’s Biggest Holiday Travel Tip
Will and I already traveled to Kansas and back to West Virginia on one of the busiest days of the year – the day before Thanksgiving. We were worried it was going to be a stressful mess, but it turned out being one of the most relaxing experiences we have had!
My biggest holiday travel tip: Arrive early! If you think arriving 1.5 hours before boarding is enough, try 2-2.5 hours early. This is especially true if you are checking bags (and on Southwest – my favorite airline – the first 2 bags check free!).
When you eliminate the stress of rushing to your gate, you are able to take other common experiences in stride – TSA security checks, long baggage lines, other travelers causing delays or gate changes.
It is so much better to arrive to your gate and have an hour to spare than to run up to the door before it shuts!
What are your holiday travel tips? And are you making any Christmas gifts this year?
