We just got our air fryer and are always learning new things to make with it. So far we made these AMAZING zucchini fries. Seriously, you have to try them!
What do you make in your air fryer?
Well, I decided to try and make something a little different. Instead of standing over the stove, what if I just air fried a grilled cheese? It turned out perfect. So I’m thrilled to share this recipe with you too.
Taking Grilled Cheese to the Next Level
I couldn’t just leave it as some cheese and bread. Nope, this sandwich is what grilled cheese wants to be when it grows up. It has brie, turkey and jam on a ciabatta bun! Talk about Heavenly.
These are the ingredients you’ll need to make your own. Feel free to change it up and use your favorite cheese or omit the meat.
- Ciabatta buns
- Brie Cheese
- Apple (I used Granny Smith)
- Sugar-free Strawberry Preserves
How to Make Grilled Cheese in the Air Fryer

1. Butter the Buns
First, you have to melt the butter. Then, use a brush to butter the outside of the buns.
2. Spread the Jam
Next, add the jam and apples to the bread. You can skip this step if you want a basic sandwich.
3. Add the Turkey and Brie
I think the Brie with the preserves and apples is a perfect combination!
4. Cook in the Air Fryer
Place the entire sandwich in the air fryer and cook it! That’s it!
What to Serve with Grilled Turkey and Cheese Sandwich
This make a really amazing and easy lunch. You can eat chips or french fries with it. But if you want some creative side dish ideas, here ya go!
- Fresh fruit salad
- German Potato Salad
- Cole Slaw

- 4 Ciabatta rolls
- 1/2 pound lean turkey
- 1/2 pound Brie cheese, sliced thin
- 1 Large Granny Smith apple, sliced thin
- 1 small jar of Sugar Free Strawberry preserves
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Preheat Air Fryer to 350 for 2 minutes.
Butter the bottom and top of the Ciabatta roll
Spread your fruit preserves on both pieces of the roll
Add 2-3 pieces of your turkey
Add 2-3 slices of the apple
Add 2-3 pieces of Brie
Place the Ciabatta roll in the Air Fryer. Place the top piece of the roll on the sandwich.
Cook for 8 minutes. Check your sandwich. If the top is browned and the cheese is melted, you are ready to eat! If not, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Remove from Air Fryer with tongs.
