Even though the USA team is out of the runnings for the world cup, the world cup is playing on!  Are you a soccer fan and still watching it? I admit, I do love soccer. But I am not paying super close attention to the games anymore. I check on it, stay up to date with live updates by Sport Score and move on. 

But I adore Italy! So I shopped at World Market and created a scrumptious and simple salad perfect for eating while watching the game.

World Market is a cultural shopping experience.  My heart remains in Italy, I cannot wait to return! Perusing the food, dishes and fashion from the Italian section of the World Market site thrilled my heart. It is the ultimate retail therapy. 

I purchased this modern salad bowl, some balsamic vinegar, the noodles, salami and the napkins from World Market.  I couldn’t help buying a cute floral print fedora while I was on their site (instagram pic is below). I’m usually quite quick when I shop online, but I was caught up in looking at every single Italian food product. I live two hours from a brick and mortar and cannot wait to walk inside their store next! So if you like cooking international food, World Market should be where you look first. 

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS: 

• Tri-Color Gigli Pasta
• 1 cup broccoli florets
• 2 tomatoes, chopped
• 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
• Olli Napoli Salame, sliced 

For the dressing:

• 1 cup Fini Balsamic Vinegar
• 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
• 2 cloves of garlic
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon pepper

DIRECTIONS

• Boil pasta
• Chop/Slice veggies
• Combine ingredients in salad bowl with dressing
• Chill for at least one hour

I also loved this salad with shredded parmesan cheese on top! It is delicious!
