When I was a child, we drank powdered milk out of sheer necessity. Since it is (obviously) shelf stable, it is the kind of milk we were able to pick up from the food pantry. It was a Saturday morning routine – wake up, turn on cartoons, make powdered milk, pour cereal. One pitcher didn’t last long in a house with 5 young kids!
