We all know how Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is handy in the kitchen, and perhaps most of us know how it makes cleaning inexpensive and easy.
But what about beauty tips?
I have them for you!
Natural Deodorant
Dust ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda under arms as needed to feel fresh all day. The magic of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda actually absorbs odors instead of just covering them up.
Soothing Bath Soak
For a relaxing ending to a long day, add 1/2 cup of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda to your bath to neutralize acids on the skin and help wash away oil and perspiration. Your skin will feel silky smooth!
Home Pedicure Foot Soak
Start your home pedicure by dissolving 3 tablespoons of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda in a basin of warm water and soak feet. Gently scrub with a paste of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda.
My favorite is the bath soak – anything for an excuse to take a nice, long, hot bath right? But seriously, I love how clean I feel afterwards. All day long I get all kinds of stuff on my skin, it is so nice to know that soaking in the baking soda restores the PH balance of my skin and leaves it purely clean. And since I always have baking soda in my kitchen I never have an excuse not to take a bath again!
And here is a video I made with a few other quick beauty tips all made with the magic of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda.
What are some of your beauty secrets with baking soda?
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Arm & Hammer and received a beauty basket to thank me for taking the time to participate.
This are excellent beauty tips using arm and hammer baking soda. Great article
I always use it for my hair. I haven’t used shampoo for over a year. 🙂 Thanks for the other tips! Baking soda is great for so many things!
How do you use it for shampoo?
1 Tbs in mix with water. You could make it into a paste and just rub it around your roots (lots of people do it like this). Or what I like to do is add a bit more water than to make a paste and put it in a squirt bottle and squirt it around the scalp and then rub it in with my fingers. It does not strip your hair like shampoos do and doesn’t have the chemicals they do either. Do a google search for ‘no-poo method’ for more tips and info. 🙂
Awesome 🙂 Thanks so much…my hair is definetly in need of some TLC lol gonna give it a try tonight…..Do you still use conditioner?
I use Apple Cider vinegar as a conditioner. 1TBS in about 1/2-1cup of water and squirt it over my hair… it makes it really soft. 🙂 Your hair smells like vinegar while its wet but the smell is gone when it dries.
Also, just a heads up if you decide to switch to this method 100% there will be a transition period where your hair may seem oily than usual. This is because commercial shampoos strip the natural oils and your scalp over produces to compensate. The baking soda doesn’t do this so it will take a few weeks (maybe 2-6wks depending on how often you shampoo) before your scalp adjusts. Good luck! 🙂
Baking soda is a magical product! thanks for posting!
I didn’t realize you could use that for a bath! Thanks for the tips!
