To make money blogging, you have to invest time and a little of your own money. People often wonder how they can go about making money blogging. The simple answer is: work at it.
A well-polished blog in design will be read more than one that is difficult to read. The same is true for bright, attractive photos in your blog posts and clear, engaging vlogs. Making money blogging is made easier when you have at least basic photography, video and writing knowledge and you can make more money if you are willing to continually learn how to hone your craft.
A blog is a service to the readers. What are they there to read? A deal blogger provides money saving coupons and online deals to the readers, bringing them back day after day. Seasoned review bloggers give in depth reviews on a wide array of products, showing the good and the bad of a product. If you provide a service for your readers and give them something to come back for day after day, you can build a readership and soon be on your way to writing sponsored posts and selling ads.
Making money blogging is also made easier when you acquire knowledge from trustworthy sources. For me, the Type A Mom blog conference was a huge asset to my blog growth. For others, a class at an accredited college can be a huge benefit.
What are some tips and tricks you have for making money on your blog – even if it is only $20 a month?
I received monetary compensation to write this post. All opinions are 100% my own.
Haha, I don’t make any money on my blog! I don’t plan to…at least for now. Maybe if I get to be a SAHM someday. But right now I don’t have time to devote to my blog like that. I spend most of my extra time on my blog on Xanga.
I have a blog on Xanga too! Well, I haven’ updated in like a year…..I have NOT had time. xanga.com/angel95annie I love it there. That is where I first discovered blogging! So glad to meet another XANGA girl!
Actually, that is how I found you over here! 🙂 We used to be friends over on Xanga. My username over there is leannenannette, too. I don’t think we were friends for a very long time over there, though, before you switched to this blog.
I try and remember to throw my amazon affiliate link in when I blog about products – I don’t make much off of them but it adds up over the months – a few free books from the GCs I earn is always nice!
I’ll be checking back for ideas!
I love when people think I ‘just write about stuff.’ While writing is clearly a big part of it, if I didn’t work hard at a lot of other components I’d still only have 2 or 3 people reading it a month. I still have PLENTY to learn but it’s sometimes belittling when people make it all sounds SO EASY!
