Let me tell you a quick story: While I was at BlogHer 2011 in San Diego, I had Lucy in my Ergo and we walked all over. It was fun and exhausting. I was waiting for the crosswalk to change and started to chat with some nice gals. We traded business cards and they shared their excitement about their new project: a program that can simultaneously text all of the current baby sitters in a parent’s phone book and manage the dates and times of who they hired last.
I think having Lucy strapped to my chest kinda gave away the fact that I was totally interested in something like this.
Then, we lost contact until just now. Their program is launched and I got to use it! Sitter Scout is everything they told me it was and I am loving it!
Now, back to my post!
How do I find a baby sitter?
Managing sitters can be super stressful. Make it easier on yourself by talking to 5-10 people you trust and taking their cell phone numbers. Then, put their names and numbers into your Sitter Scout account. When you want/need to get away, Sitter Scout is super handy! You can view who you hired last and choose not to contact them. You then choose who to contact, write your text and hit send! All of the sitters you selected will be sent a text and the one that wants the job will call/text you back!
One text. One step. So easy.
