I received a complimentary Frost Guard to help me write my post. All opinions are my own.
Snow is gorgeous, isn’t it? So far this winter has been pretty mild. But winter weather is pretty unpredictable. I have no idea if we will have a blizzard this season or a mild one with barely any craziness. If it ever snows or ices, I know one thing for sure – scraping my windshield and having to get an auto glass replacement is the worst!
In fact, the last thing I want to do is spend fifteen minutes trying to scrape the the stuff stuck to my windshield while freezing in the windy cold weather before I can get going. Thankfully, I found a brilliantly simple product that reduces this process to a few seconds.
Frost Guard is a windshield cover that attaches to your and removes in literally seconds taking all the winter precipitation with it. Seriously, check out this product. You’ll never have to scrape your windshield EVER AGAIN!
I tried other options achieve this result with poor results. I tried a bed sheet, which just absorbed moisture then froze into a solid stiff heavy thing that was very hard to get off the windshield.
I tried plastic which simply tore when under the weight of the snow and ice when trying to remove it. I also tried just running the car with the defroster on for twenty minutes to melt everything on the windshield. None of these ideas got me in the car and on the road without much time and effort and maybe some frostbite.
Frost Guard Windshield Cover
Frost Guard is constructed with heavy weight polyester with a weather resistant PVC lining. It is very durable and able to handle the harsh winter weather without tearing or sticking to the windshield.
Elastic straps go around the rear view mirrors and a flap on the side is closed into the door ensuring the Frost Guard stays put even in strong winter winds.
It can be installed and removed in under a minute. When it’s time to go somewhere, I take one side and pull it across the windshield to the other taking all the snow and ice with it leaving a nice clear windshield. It has literally turned an unpleasant fifteen minute winter experience into just a few seconds of ease.
I cannot express enough how much I enjoy Frost Guard and how much frustration it has saved me time and time again at 5AM when I’m half asleep and heading to work. After having an auto glass repair or auto glass replacement because you damaged your windshield from scraping too much, check them out and save yourself some time, money, and headaches too!
