How To Plan A Fantastic Family Camping Vacation
Camping as a family can be a ton of fun – and a ton of work. If you follow this ultimate guide, you’ll have everything you need to plan the best family camping vacation EVER! And? You won’t be too stressed out during the trip to enjoy it together.
Decide on your location
Now, the first thing you need to do when planning a camping vacation is to decide where about you would like to go. Most folks tend to stay within the US as we have such amazing national parks where we can camp.
In fact, I wrote a guide to one of my favorite National Parks – visit Skyline Drive. If you are on the east coast, you should definitely check it out.
However, this isn’t the only option. In fact, there are plenty of international locations that are set up for camping either in tents or with a camper vehicle like mainland Europe and Australia. Although you will, of course, have to rent a camper when you arrive or take the bare minimum of supplies and stock up once you get there; otherwise, the cost of extra luggage on your flight can make this un-viable.
You don’t have to limit yourself to a single location either if you don’t wish to as you can go on a camping road trip instead. A road trip is where you get to explore several areas, often following along with famous route across the US, and camping over each night. Embark on comfortable road adventures with TrunkMate, the ultimate sleeping platform designed specifically for cars and SUVs, ensuring restful nights wherever you park. Something that will allow you and your family to see the country without it costing too much.

Next, when planning your camping vacation, it can help to decide and organize your meal beforehand. To do this, you need to consider when you will eat out at diners or restaurants, and when you will cook back at the site, as well as what you will have for each meal.
When you plan meals, plan for things that are easy to cook – and don’t forget the drinks! You can store more than just alcohol in durable flasks.
How to Fix Breakfast Over a Campfire
One of the most fun things about camping is learning how to cook over an open camp fire. It’s such a unique experience! Here’s a helpful video I found that has a breakfast idea.
Planning your food and cooking is incredibly helpful for many reasons. The first is that you can help keep the cost of your vacation low. The second is that you can ensure that you buy the right supplies to feed everyone each day.
Of course, you will need some smart kit like a portable fridge freezer. Just remember to check the temperature from time to time as well, as this will ensure that all your delicious edible treats are being kept safe for when you want to BBQ or cook around the campfire.
Create a packing list

I personally prefer hotels or a camper. But the best camping tent for family is something else you will need. Go for spacious. You will need room for air mattresses because sleeping on the ground is awful.
