Air Fryer Zucchini Fries
Make some crispy zucchini fries in the air fryer. This recipe uses a combination of bread crumbs and parmesan cheese for a crispy exterior.
Ingredients
- 2 large zucchini, cut into fries
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup Panko-style breadcrumbs
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Additional spices, as desired
- 1 Tablespoon oil of choice
Instructions
- Cut up the zucchini and let set on a baking pan as you assemble the remaining ingredients and set up the air fryer. This will allow them to dry slightly.
- Place two egg whites in one shallow bowl, set aside.
- In a second shallow bowl, combine the flour, breadcrumbs, and seasonings.
- Dredge the zucchini fries one at a time through the egge whites, and then through the breadcrumb mixture, then set in your Air Fryer tray. You can double coat if you wish.
- Add the oil to the Air Fryer depository and turn on.
- Exact cooking times will vary by Air Fryer but ours took 12 minutes, turning once at the halfway mark.

I am new to air frying. What temperature do I set these for?

Hi Donna,
I’m sorry it took me so long to reply! My blog wasn’t emailing me the comments. I’m trying to fix it. I’ll answer your question in case others have the same one. I always set my air fryer to the highest setting (around 400 degrees) when frying things like french fries of zucchini fries. The key to using an air fryer is to check it half way. Once you get a handle on how quickly your exact one works, you’ll be able to go without checking it next time.

Your intro mentioned parmesan cheese, but there is none in the recipe?
