The Star Wars 3-in-1 Interchangeable Camera makes a perfect gift for toddlers and preschoolers that do not know how to use a real camera yet – or like mine cannot be trusted with expensive digital cameras.
The photo quality is the same as the Spongebob Camera I reviewed as well. Since they are such a low quality I recommend this for children that cannot tell a difference between high and low quality of photos. Lizzie is 2.5 years old and gets excited about seeing her photos in print, no matter how they look.
Unlike the Spongebob Camera this one has a preview screen on the back. However, it is so small and such a low quality that you can barely tell what you are looking at. Again, this is wonderful for preschoolers so they can look at the preview screen as they are taking a picture. This is not going to cut it for older children as they begin to need to use the preview screens to take better photos.
This camera also has its own software for photo editing and games that are as efficient as Lightroom plugins. This is a really fun feature, even for the older kids!
My thoughts? I would suggest this camera for really young children, maybe as a “my first camera.” The software makes fun photo frames and has games that the older kids can enjoy.
