Durable, beautiful, artistic and super easy to make, Adoramapix photo books make wonderful gifts and quality keepsakes. AdoramaPix is an easy to use website where you can upload your favorite photographs and order prints, cards, photobooks and even gallery prints and photo mounting.
The quality and price is what will bring me back to this site above any other. It isn’t just another photo site, these pictures look professional when you get them and nothing in their store is gimicky or substandard. For how superior my book turned out I was expecting the prices to be on that level too – but thankfully they are not. Photo prints start out at only 19 cents for a 4×6 or $3.38 for a 10×13! And the prices are lower if you buy in bulk. So keep this site bookmarked for wedding, graduations or Christmas when you will be needing to send out tons of pictures.
For my review I was given a gift certificate to cover the cost of and 8×12 photo book which currently sells for $51.95. They are having some sales as of today (6/18/10) so go check out how much money you can save!
I’m going to walk you through my experience, then in the video you will be able to see the book and hear my thoughts on it!
First, I had to choose the orientation of my book – they have books in portrait, square or landscape. I chose the 8×12 landscape since it is a wonderful size for display on my coffee table.
Then I chose a theme. They have so many to chose from and each theme is fully customizable. Or, if you are a pro digital scrapbooker, you can start from scratch and do it all yourself with their tools. I chose the baby boy theme and was very pleased with how it turned out.
Then was the fun part – uploading the pictures. I made this book back in May and since then they have made some amazing improvements to the uploading process. Last month I had quite a few options for uploading – with flash, with javascript – some where better with windows, other better for macs. Being a distracted mom I didn’t have enough concentration to figure out which uploader was best for my computer and browser. So it took me 3 tries or so before I found one that did it quickly.
It is so stinkin’ simple now, I love it! You can import from Flickr, Picassa or your computer. And it uploads so quickly too. Then you just click and drag the pictures you want in your project to that other box on the right and presto! You are ready to make your book!
Then the fun really begins – making the book! Even being distracted with fighting toddlers and dolls that need dressed I was able to make a lovely baby book for David. I am not a digital scrapbooker and really appreciated how easy it was to simply drag my pictures and drop them in the photo spots. Then by using the crop tool I could move the picture around in the frame how I wanted. At the bottom of the screen is a line up of all your pages and you can flip through and see where your pictures will fit best. These pre designed layouts are fully customizable too – so if it has 3 photo spots on a page and you want one large photo just delete the other two and make your one picture larger.
Now that you have seen how it is done and read about how much I enjoyed the ease of use, here is a video where you get to see the book up close. It really is a high quality book that will outlast the damaging effects of multiple babies and toddlers in a house at once.
I was given a gift code from AdoramaPix to make my own book in order to write this review. All opinions are 100% my own.
