Hi! Time for my 4th installment of the really fun Dialect Vlog Hop! I think I missed last week, but it was crazy busy last week and last Thursday I had some severe weather to deal with. But here I am, on Thursday, ready to have a lot of fun!
How it works:
You read the list of words and answer the list of questions on a vlog. Then, you upload the video to your blog and link up here so we can all go and see how we say things the same or different! It is amazing how many different ways there are to say something and really fun to hear the different accents (or lack of accents) from different places.
I’d love to hear from England, Canada and other countries! Let’s get the Dialect hop global!
The Words:
why, outside, chic, boutique, February, Right of way, Porsche, Behind, Tomorrow, Bye, Organization
The Questions:
Pin & Pen – do you same them the same or different?
What do you call a place you go that serves mainly alcoholic beverages?
What is the grey tape that can fix any broken object?
What do you call someone that isn’t “cool”?
A phrase your grandparents always said?
What do you call a girl that acts silly and unintelligent?
Slow as ______
Quick as _________
Happy as a ________
My Video!
I have a button if you want to grab it 🙂
Link up!
did mine!
You are a riot and make me laugh. 🙂 I’ll hop in the shower here soon and then I’ll do my video from California
Ha! I decided NOT to listen to anyone else’s before I did mine. We’re not too different I suppose:) Hope you’re having a great day and that you reach your goal!
So glad you started these. They are fun for sure and I love hearing all the accents 🙂 Mine is done and up :0)
So much fun. Mine is done!
My answers were pretty much the same as yours. Kansas and Indiana aren’t that far apart LOL
I love you did yours outside this week! I’m going to have to put some thought into the grandparent question though.
More and more stuff keeps getting added to my to-do list so I’m going to have to join in tomorrow (after a shower of course ;). I will represent Texas!
You don’t sound to me like you have too much of any accent. Thanks for hosting this hop!
This is my first time doing this hop, how fun! I have never heard happy as a lark cute!
I just love your energy! I didn’t listen to anyone else’s yet and mine’s up too 🙂 My answers area pretty much the same and I have no fun accent here in PA but love playing along! I hope you get all the states (:
These are always a lot of fun and I’m so glad you are keeping it alive! You sound like such a sweet person and love the accent and different sayings. I’ve never heard of quick as a fox before, although it does make a lot of sense. 🙂
Annie you are too cute! I say things way different than you, maybe because of the southern roots around here…we tend to take things slowly and have a bad habit of letting letters run together until we end up with a word that sounds nothing like it was meant to lol.
You are too cute, I don’t care how you say things because you are just so fun to listen to.
I don’t think you are a ditz at all. 🙂
I’m gonna get mine up as soon as I have some quiet time in this house – HaHa!
Thanks for doing another one – LOVE THESE!!
Thank you for enunciating the T in duct tape 🙂
Ohh I’ve heard p&v many times. LOL
Ditz didn’t even come to mind for me, that’s not as bad as my initial thoughts. LOL
I’m late but finally got it posted!
