So excited for the 6th “How do you say that” VLOG hop! Are you ready for another one? I have some fun words and questions below, spread the word (RT?) and let’s have fun hearing how we say things!
How it works:
You read the list of words and answer the list of questions on a vlog. Then, you upload the video to your blog and link up here so we can all go and see how we say things the same or different! It is amazing how many different ways there are to say something and really fun to hear the different accents (or lack of accents) from different places.
I’d love to hear from England, Canada and other countries! Let’s get the Dialect hop global!
The Words:
Library, etcetera, mischievous, ticklish, triathlon, prerogative, candidate, balsamic, grocery, Niche
The Questions:
1. What condiments do you like on your cold cut sandwich?
2. What do you call the small drawer in your dashboard where you keep your insurance information?
3. What is another way people around you say “go to the bathroom”
4. What do you call the thing you write with that is not a pencil?
5. What is another way to say, “take a bath?” (I didn’t know this, but take a tub?)
6. What is another way to say that someone is running around utterly confused? (Like a……)
7.What is another way of saying something creeps you out?
8. Is it Jerry Rigging or Jimmy Rigging?

I have a button if you want to grab it 🙂

Miracle whip, light if I can get it. oh and ‘jury’ rigging. There is another (quite nasty) term that I’ve heard, but it’s not for polite company, and I consider other people’s blogs polite company.

Oh I thought of another after I did mine on the creeps me out (still haven’t watched anyones yet, though fixing to watch yours LOL). Heebie Jeebies that is another phrase I use for creeping me out.

I had to retake mine THREE times! Argh! You’re too cute and I have heard people ask for an ink pen before. My son’s therapist always asks if I have an “ink pen” he can use. I forgot about Heebie Jeebies. I use that too.
Owen's Mom says
I think a lot of our pronunciation was similar (I am in OR), but when something creeps me out if gives me the “Willies”.
Southern Belle says
What a fun idea Annie! To answer your question, I always thought it was jerry rigging.
Robyn Wright of RobynsOnlineWorld.com says
Ohhh I forgot about heeby geebys (sp?)
Amy says
Here I asked about it and I was away on vacation! — I will be on the lookout for the next one! I’m sorry!!

I’m so bummed I didn’t have my computer for this hop… I love when you do these. Can’t wait for the next one.
I say pretty much all things the same way you do except for niche – I use a long “e” for it so ot ends up sounding like “neeshe” but my husb says it just like you.
I also say that I have to go potty or weewee and my kids are all grown up and out of the house – I’m just a little odd.
I can get “skeeved” by things as well as creeped out by things.
Thanks for always doing these, I now have two laptops, so hopefully ONE will be working at all times. =)
