A friend tried to massage the knot. It didn’t work. I could barely move my head to the right. I speed-dialed my chiropractor and tried to get on with our day.
After Lizzie’s swimming lessons, I took the kids home for 20 minutes and then we were off to Arby’s! He graciously took an hour off work to watch the kids so I could get my neck popped. It was amazing. No, my chiropractor didn’t magically make the pain disappear, but he did adjust me and tell me to get better sleep.
When I went to pick up the kids, he said I better get new tires on my new (to me) car. Relaxed from my chiropractor, I took my children to the mechanic’s.
After leaving home at 10am, we finally returned home at 3:30pm. Lucy and David napped. Lizzie played on my XYBoard, and I could barely keep my eyes open, so I relaxed on the couch and slept. Hard. I woke up 15 minutes later to Lizzie showing me how she beat a game.
Again – I was shocked! I never get quiet time like this!
By 6pm they were still sleeping! Lizzie got hungry and asked me to make her “leaky eggs.” So I made bacon and eggs for dinner. David walked into the kitchen smiling at the smell of bacon frying. I went and woke Lucy up so she could join us.
Here is to hoping the rest of the week follows suit!

Maybe they knew how bad your neck hurt? I LOVE days that run SO MUCH smoother than I think they will.
