Lucy is potty training! She is pretty much, almost there! The only times I have to really “worry” is car rides and at night. I chatted with Top To Bottom Baby and they suggested Blueberry trainers for the times I wanted a little added protection. After trying them out with Lucy, here are my thoughts!
Look:
These are so cute!! Blueberry has a ton of super fun prints! They can even look cute under dresses as bloomers. I love that there are prints to match any style, any taste. Another added incentive for potty learners, you can let the child pick out a favorite design. For me, one of my favorite parts of cloth diapering was the cuteness, and Blueberry carried the cuteness into potty learning!
Ease of use:
They are just like undies, a super easy pull and push design. The waistband is a super soft cotton with elastic. The legs have elastic too (even though it is much thinner elastic, which led to some twisting). So they fit every leg type. Lucy loves that she can put these on all by herself. And they are really softy and comfy. The outside is jersey knit, the inside is cotton velour (ahhhhh).
Protection:
You can see that it has layers sewn on the inside when you turn it inside-out. In the training pants is absorbent micro-terry. There is also a layer of PUL to prevent wetness from seeping out. That being said, these work great for car rides when Lucy tried so hard to hold it and had a tiny accident. But Blueberry said on their website, “These trainers are only partially waterproof and not recommended for use overnight or for naps.”
Price:
These are sold at Top To Bottom Baby Boutique for $15.99 each! Compared to a box of 56 disposable training pants for $20, you can spend $80 for 5 Blueberry trainers and never buy a disposable again. I am all for that!
Discount! During the week of April 15th-20th you can snag these for 10% off as they are the product of the week! So go get them for $14.39 each!
What it all comes down to: I think these are amazing! They are the perfect transition from diaper to underwear. The price point is a teeny bit steep for something that doesn’t protect during nap times, though. But they are cute and great for building a child’s independence without having to pack 3 different pairs of pants for when accidents happen.
I am a Top To Bottom Baby blogger. All opinions are 100% my own.
