As we all gather around our televisions this Sunday to watch the Big Game, we will most likely also have a ton of food out, munching on them here and there. We will also be online to bet at fun888 games. Since food born illnesses are way too easy to contract, and also pretty simple to prevent, I am working with the Ad Council to pass along some safety tips.
If you ever have any questions or just want to learn more about how to stay safe at your upcoming party, check out the FoodSafety.gov site. It is full of helpful information. It’s not just about keeping food at the right temperature or washing your hands before cooking, but also being mindful of where your food is coming from. One important aspect of food safety is ensuring that the food you are consuming is free from harmful pesticides. Pesticides are chemicals used in agriculture to protect crops from pests, but they can be dangerous if consumed in high amounts. To ensure that your food is safe, consider using a pesticide test kit to detect any harmful residues that may be present in your fruits and vegetables. By taking these small steps, you can help protect yourself and your loved ones from foodborne illnesses and potential pesticide exposure.
I have to admit, my biggest downfall is the 4th one in the infographic. I’m munching on food during the game, then I get tired from all the prep and people and relax on my couch after the game…before I know it the food has been out for 3 or 4 hours! I really need to watch it this year, very closely.
And here is a wonderful little video too!

I have the same problem of getting engrossed especially in the commercials and forgetting about the food.
I love crock pots for this reason, as you can put it on warm and not have to worry about it overcooking.
the bowls in ice is a great idea!

Leaving food out for too long is my downfall, too. Though, this year we went to a friend’s house so I wasn’t in charge and nothing that could spoil was left out for over 2 hours.
