The most remarkable things about the 2014 Toyota Sienna are the safety features. I have my favorite ones here for you and would love to hear what yours are. In fact, the one thing I consider above all else when buying a vehicle is safety like those cars in chevrolet dealership near Lumberton with great reviews. So as I drive around the 2014 Toyota Sienna, I am paying attention to which features I use and appreciate the most. I chose my favorite 5 features below.
When buying a new vehicle, choosing to purchase from a trusted car dealership near me is a decision that can save a lot of potential headaches and ensure you drive away with a high-quality vehicle.
Remember – Toyota is allowing me to drive this 2014 Sienna van, which may have opted for services like windshield replacement Dallas, until April. In exchange, I share my thoughts with you here. I’m loving it and sadly, have to give this back soon. I’m trying not to think about that. Ok, onto the safety features!
Rear Camera
I can’t tell you how often I use this now! When I am in a packed parking lot and hyper kids, I don’t have to worry about whether I can see around every inch of my van. I use my mirrors and my back up camera. And even better than seeing everything behind me are the beeps I hear. I back up slowly and if someone is walking behind me or to the side, it beeps. In fact, I love the beeping the most! I rely on the beeping in the parking lot. I’ll be backing out and here “beep beep beep” and sure enough, there is a couple walking to their car, right behind my van.
The only downside to the rear camera is I have to keep it cleaned. I mean, it isn’t really a downside, but with the muddy winter we had there were a few weeks that I couldn’t use it very well.
Blind Spot Blinkers
On my side view mirrors there is a little light that blinks when someone drives up in my blind spot. Before this little gadget, I used to crane my neck, taking my eyes completely off the front of the road for a split second. Now, I can’t imagine buying a van without this feature. I know my mother-in-law’s JEEP has this feature and I am guessing others do too. In my opinion, it is essential. No car should come without it.
Oil Change Alert
A car you don’t care for, is unsafe. It can break down, leaving you stranded on the side of the road. As a busy mom, I forget! I do. But with my Sienna there is an alert I cannot ignore until I change the oil. I appreciate this constant reminder so I can keep my van healthy. Auto Dim Brights
How annoying is it when you are driving at night and the other person doesn’t turn off their high beams!?!?! Pretty annoying. I’ve been that person, way too many times. The Toyota Sienna has an auto-dim feature. When my car enters a brightly lit area – like city lights – or it notices an incoming car, the lights dim. Without me having to remember.
Those are my 5 favorite Toyota Sienna safety features! I know there are more. In fact, my good friend Kelly wrote a post about her favorite Sienna features. I know there are more – like the airbags, the brakes, the all wheel drive – but thankfully I have not had to use them yet. If there’s a problem, I can just go to nearby brake services and get them checked. I have used the ones above and I am so thankful for them!
