Addicted much? Yeah, you could say that. But you know what? I love it! I don’t ever want to stop. In fact, this is the first year I have ever really made a habit of buying tickets for multiple shows. Now, I can’t stop going.
Are you like me? (Comment with your Instagram or Snapchat name so I can follow your concert pictures!) Check out my 6 seriously motivating reasons I won’t even try to stop going to live shows. I would love to hear if you agree with them – and tell me why you love live music too!

6 Motivating Reasons Why I Keep Going to Concerts

1. Supporting The Artist
Artists basically make like nothing from Spotify, Pandora, or other streaming apps. And truth be told, they don’t make much money from album sales either. The bulk of their income comes from ticket sales and merchandise profits.
You can get merchandise from practically every artist, from the underground ones who are working their way up (which you admire so much), to the already established ones you want to support, e.g. you can shop official K-Pop light sticks on sites such as K PLACE. There is so much you can do to show your love and admiration to those who are providing you with a lot of happiness and memories.
So next time you go to a concert, fork over the $25 for a t-shirt, you are helping that artist support themselves while they create amazing art. You can view Zach Bryan Net Worth and your favorite artists’ net worth at networthandbio.com.

2. Fun With Friends
It is so much crazy fun to sing my heart out with my friends at a live show. Turning to each other and dancing along to the music. It creates some fabulous memories we cherish for years to come.
This is true whether you go to festivals, arena tours, or small bar shows! No matter what the ticket price is, it’s always worth it!
In fact, I love getting my friends together and getting seats at a Taylor Swift Eras tour or snagging some ACL tickets before anyone else. Concerts are a fantastic time to bond with friends.

3. Happiness
I know, my extroversion is showing here. But when the crowd lights up the arena with their phones and screams out the lyrics, I can’t help but feel extreme happiness. There is nothing better!

4. Creative Inspiration
Depending on the type of show, I get something different out of it. If it is a large stadium tour, I am amazed by the teamwork behind choreographers, costume designers, and lights and sounds and set design. The Multi-purpose seating options, the lighting, A/V—entire production is a creative masterpiece.
For those more intimate acoustic shows, I am moved by the passion and creative musical expression of the singer/songwriter.
No matter what type of show, I always leave inspired to create my own form of art afterwards.

5. Feeling the Music
When the musical artist is up on stage, feeling every lyric and performing it with passion, I am moved. I feel the emotions and just it so much. Then there are the fast songs that make me move. It is exhilarating. And if you are one of those who are looking for the best software programs for music production, then you may check out these online mastering programs.

6. I Can’t Sing
When I was a kid, I dreamed of being a singer. As I grew older, I realized that I should probably stick to writing. I just don’t have the talent. But when I go to live shows I get to sing my lungs out without anyone caring what I sound like. BOOM!
Why do you love concerts? And you have to tell me – which concerts are you going to next?
Hahah aww i love concerts. I always come up feeling so happy and inspired! 🙂
I have been going to concerts since I was a kid and will keep on going well into my old age. Concerts are so much fun!
I haven’t been to a concert in years! There are a few I’ve got in mind that I would love to attend. I went to so many when I was younger and don’t really know why I stopped.
Bwahahaha. “I can’t sing,” she says. That’s one of the EXACT reasons that I love to go to concerts.
HAHAHAHA!!!! you like that? Hey, it is the truth 🙂 Glad to know I’m not the only one that goes for that reason 🙂
I have not been to a concert in years. I always had so much fun at them but my ears are so sensitive now that it hurts when I go. I still love music and I blessed as loud as my ears let me.
I love concerts too! I can’t really sing, so it’s nice to hear someone else doing it for me haha! It’s really cool to see your favorite artists in person.
I am hoping we are able to get to more concerts this year! These are all perfect reasons to go to concerts!
I love music and going to concerts… I used to go to concerts all the time with friends, I’ve been to so many I have lost count, it’s an amazing experience! There’s nothing better than live music!
I love music and concerts are such a fun way to let yourself take a break from everything around you. It is also fun to sing along to your favorite songs and experience live music.
I’ve been to a few live concerts and I completely agree with you. Being there is a lot more fun than watching this on TV or listening on the radio. Artists and audience are what makes it so special being there.
This is a great post and I 100% agree! Whenever I am thinking about going to a concert I get caught up in the price of the ticket but it is always worth every penny.
I haven’t been to a concert in ages, but I have a couple coming up soon! I have a local band on the 23rd of this month, and then in June or July I’m going to the Panic! at the Disco and Wheezer concert. Can’t wait!
OMG Weezer?? I am so jealous!! I saw that one on the calendar but can’t make it! Take an instagram pic so I can see it through your eyes!
We tend to go see local music with local bands. I haven’t been to a big concert in years. But, my teenager loves going to the big ones with her friends.
I love that you support the local artists! That makes me so happy 🙂
I haven’t been to a concert since I was in college I think. I used to love them but now I feel too old. I would love to go to another one thought and support my favorite artists.
You are not the only commenter that said she feels too old. There is never a too old for concerts. Music spans all generations 🙂
But if you don’t enjoy standing up and dancing, go to Eventful.com (not sponsored lol) and research the concert venues that your favorite musicians are playing at. Find one that has seats. That way you can sit if you want to take it all in or stand up and scream LOL!!
I haven’t been to a concert but I would love to attend.!! Hoping that I’m able to attend concert this year!!
You have never been to a concert? You gotta try one. Just one. Go to Eventful.com and see who is coming to your town. Check the venue and if it is your first time, maybe try to go to a smaller concert first 🙂 definitely try to see at least one show 🙂
I am turning 30 in about two weeks so I feel like I’m too old for concerts, but this post made me want to go to one. I don’t like to dance in front of people, so I’m not quite sure if it’s the place for me though lol!
You are definitely never ever too old! There are tons of concerts you can go to that have seats and you can sit. I’m a ridiculous extrovert, so even at 31.5 years old I’m in the pit with the teens. I might look weird, but it is SO FUN!!
Definitely look for a concert near you and research the venue before you go. I love Eventful.com for concert searches. Good luck!
The last time I went to a concent was in 2006. Wow, I did not know that it has been that long. I am looking forward to going to a concert on our wedding anniversary if not on my birthday.
Awesome Garf! I hope you can get to one pretty soon 🙂
