My husband is a meat and potatoes guy. He especially loves meat and french fries. One of the easiest meals to make for Father’s Day is pork loin and french fries with gravy. The (way too easy) recipe is at the end of this post.
For some people, spending hours in the kitchen is their act of love. And sometimes that is true for me too. But Will and I prefer to spend quality time together. Delicious food can be crafted with a few shortcuts. In fact, Will loved this pork loin meal – and it only took 30 minutes total!
The secret to the shortcut is to purchase Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork loin filets. They literally come ready to grill, bake, or pan fry. And they are so juicy and delicious! If you cook them correctly, they won’t be dry!
The first thing is – the more money you save on food, the more money you have for Father’s Day gifts. I shop almost exclusively at Food Lion. I love watching the total amount at the cash register go down after handing the cashier my Food Lion MVP card! And I always find fantastic deals on meat and produce there too.
For this recipe, buy the Smithfield Roasted Garlic & Herb Marinated Fresh Pork Loin Filet. For my family of 4, one loin filet is enough. But this Father’s Day holiday we will have 3 kids here so I bought two filets.
What’s in the bag? Pork and seasonings. It has no artificial ingredients, just seasonings. I feel great saving time with this little shortcut.

30 Minute Father’s Day Pork Loin Meal Recipe
This meal requires almost no thinking. All of the ingredients are “almost kinda homemade but not really.”
For a fresh new spin on the meal, cook your pork on the grill! It will be the juiciest pork loin you ever tried.
Ingredients:
- Smithfield Roasted Garlic & Herb Marinated Fresh Pork Loin Filet
- French Fries
- Pork Gravy
- Steamed Veggies
Directions:
- Cook the french fries, gravy and veggies according to the package directions.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat
- Slice the pork loin filet into 1 inch medallions
- Cook the pork for 10 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reads 145 degrees. Pork will be fully cooked with a blush of pink in the middle.
- Serve pork with fries and veggies!
Alternatively, you can also sear the pork in the skillet and cook it in the oven for 30 minutes at 450 degrees (or until fully cooked).
Enjoy! Easy meal, happy family!
