New Moms – What To Look For In A Dog Breed
If you are a new mom and decide you want a dog as well, careful consideration must be taken to the choice of breed. The amount of free time available to devote to the dog will be limited so high maintenance breed might not be the best choice. In addition, some breeds tend to be better with children than others. After looking at these constraints, here are my 3 dog breed choices for new moms

Bulldog
A bulldog is known to be a laid back breed of dog. They simply don’t require an exceptional amount of exercise or grooming. They would just as soon lay on the couch and watch television with you as they would go outside for a run. They also tend to form strong bonds with children and have a gentle and protective nature.

Pug
Pugs are playful and friendly. They are known for their charming and charismatic personality. They require very minimal exercise and can adapt to a variety of living arrangements. Their small size makes them a great fit for apartments, for example. Pugs are people-pleasing by nature and enjoy spending time with their owners.

Bull Terrier
A bull terrier is known for it’s distinct head shape. They are extremely affectionate and become very attached to their owners. This breed will be devoted to your child and is known for being good with children in general.
