I am so excited to share with you a super easy finger paint tutorial! This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #Dial2in1 #DialCompletesUs #2in1
Fingerpainting is so fun. When I do art projects with my kids and granddaughter I actually prefer to make my own paint. When I make my own, I know what’s in it. And I can promise you that these finger paints are safe to eat. No, they won’t taste good (don’t go putting them on your pancakes!) but the ingredients are all edible.
Another things I love about these paints? How easy they are to clean up. You’ll love washing up after this messy craft with Dial Complete® 2 in 1 Foaming Hand Wash – it leaves your skin so soft! From America’s beloved soap brand of 70 years, comes a breakthrough new line-up, Dial Complete® 2 in 1 Moisturizing & Antibacterial Beauty Bar and Foaming Hand Wash. There’s antibacterial. There’s moisturizing. And now, there’s 2 in 1.
Easy DIY Fingerpaint Tutorial
These fingerpaints are incredibly easy to make. There are just a few ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 4 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup corn starch
- 2 cups water
Mix all the ingredients on the stovetop and heat it up, stirring constantly until it thickens. Then you can remove it from the stove top and let it cool.
Be careful not to add too much corn starch or the paint will be gloopy and lumpy. When it is thick enough to stick slightly to the bottom of the pan like in my picture, you are ready to add your food coloring to the jars. I noticed that about 8 drops per half cup was perfect. If the color doesn’t show up on the paper very well, keep adding a few drops of color.
I used small mason jars, but I’ve heard of others saving baby food jars and using those to store the finger paints.
Some of my favorite things about Dial®:
- With 2x moisturizing ingredients, Dial Complete® 2 in 1 Foaming Hand Wash gives you soft, smooth hands. Even after repeated washing.
- 2x moisturizing ingredients vs regular hand soap.
- Kills 99.99% of bacteria*
- *encountered in common household settings
There you have it! These are bright and easy finger paints that are a ton of fun to enjoy with your kids. I hope you found this tutorial helpful. Please share it with your friends and pin it to Pinterest!
