If you want a quiet hotel by the Nashville Airport at an affordable rate, look at Red Roof Inn PLUS!
Disclosure: I received a free night at the hotel. All opinions are 100% my own.
William and I recently drove from West Virginia to Kansas and back. It’s an 1105 mile trip, which takes about 18 hours. We decided to stop halfway in Nashville, breaking up our trip into 2 days. We were given a night’s stay in exchange for our review. We’ve stayed at a ton of different hotels, and Red Roof Inn PLUS is always going to be one of our favorites!
I’ll break down our stay into what is most important to us in a room: bed and pillows, features, coffee, noise level, price and finish it up with our rating. Please share this post – save it to your travel Pinterest board for later!
Red Roof Inn PLUS – Amazing Bed & Pillows
This is one of the comfiest beds we have ever slept on like the hotels Scottsdale. I’m used to budget hotel beds being too firm or too worn out. (I know, I just reminded myself of the 3 bears!) Honestly, this is perfect! I’ve seen the soft and firm pillow choices at other hotels and I always appreciate it.
Since we were in a premium room, we slept on a Rest Suite Bed by Serta® mattress. No wonder it was like heaven! That one feature alone would make the $24 price difference worth it. You just can’t put a price tag on a restful night’s sleep.
A Quiet & Clean Room
We arrived after driving literally all day. We were tired and I was battling a cold. Walking into the room felt amazing! The room was not only clean, but the air was super crisp and fresh. You know how some hotels have a lingering musky smell? This one didn’t have that! It just smelled…like nothing. Clean air. That’s it. The hardwood floors were a huge relief, because carpets make me nervous with how much stuff can hide in them.
Surprisingly, even though the doors face the street (no hallway, the doors lead directly to the outside), and it’s super close to the airport, it was an extremely quiet room! We fell asleep and had an amazing night’s rest.
Red Roof Inn PLUS – The Premium Room Features
We stayed in a Premium room. When we walked into the premium room, there was a little welcome card (the one in the previous picture) explaining the features.
What’s the difference between standard and premium rooms?
When you go to the Red Roof Inn website, it’s easy to compare a standard room to a premium room, but I’ll do it for you here too. Basically, a premium room has a few more updates, and a few freebies and extras that make it just feel a little more luxurious (but still priced lower than the competition). For this comparison, I checked the price in May 2018 for the Nashville Airport Red Roof Inn PLUS, prices may not be current, please check for an updated price at Red Roof Inn’s website.

Free Snacks!
I was so excited for the free snacks! For some reason I always feel dehydrated when I travel. I was thrilled to have free water and orange juice waiting for us in the room. The other snacks I kept in my bag for us to share on the rest of the road trip.
Red Roof Inn PLUS Coffee
If you follow our Instagram, you know how much we both love our coffee! Another benefit of a premium room is the free Seattle’s Best Coffee in your room. Seattle’s Best is one of our favorite brands when we are at home, so it is wonderful to have it in our room too.
Oh and they aren’t K-Cups! That means we can control how strong we make it.
Difference between Red Roof Inn and PLUS?
The differences are minor, but important. Yet services like building inspections Melbourne may still have been vital for the project.
Around 2014, Red Roof Inn began making specific improvements to select properties with the help of companies such as direct contractor singapore. These renovations led the chain to rename them as Red Roof Inn PLUS properties.
Some of the noticeable differences in Red Roof Inn PLUS include:
- Hardwood Floors
- HD TVs with HD programming
- Better Wi-Fi
- more!
Red Roof Inn PLUS Rating
Overall, we’d rate the Red Roof Inn is 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Pros:
- Clean, quiet room
- Amazing beds
- Delicious Coffee
- Friendly Staff
- Convenient Location
- Affordable Price
Cons:
- Room faces outside, could be a problem in the rain
- Breakfast was slim
What do you think? Have you ever stayed at a Red Roof Inn or Red Roof Inn Plus? What was your stay like? For the price of $90-120 a night, it is a huge value. Definitely find a Red Roof Inn on your next trip!
