The Best Travel Gift Ideas For Couples
Even if we don’t have that special someone, we have friends and family who do. It would only be fitting to wish them the best and get them gifts that will prove to be useful during their travels. Here is a list I made of gifts made especially for travelers.
A World Map
They will love a map poster they can hang on their wall. This one is affordable and cute!
Let’s be real. Nobody in this day and age uses an actual world map to navigate their way around a country they are visiting; Google Maps can pretty much do that for us. I put this on the list isn’t necessarily for navigational purposes, but because it could serve as a checklist of sorts.
I like to keep a track record of the countries I’ve visited. If someone was interested in knowing about my travel history, then I could just show them the map. This is exactly why it would make for a meaningful gift!
Having a world map with tags will help us remember all the places we’ve traveled to and the places we have yet to explore. If not tags, then we can buy a scratch-off world map, where one would simply need to scratch off the surface of the area within the map that they’ve explored. The rest can be scratched off once they’ve been visited.
Either way, both are fun choices.
Passport Holders
Passport covers, of course, protect our passports from possible wear and tear; it’s a necessity during international trips, especially because of how roughly passports are handled during immigration.
However, they don’t have to be boring. Leather covers come in many interesting prints, and if all else fails, get them custom-made before the vacation, in an amazing place like 5 star resort Phu Quoc. I got this idea from my cousin and his wife. They gifted each other custom passport holders before going on their honeymoon.
Ring
Traveling can be a stressful experience, especially for those who are anxious or prone to feeling overwhelmed in new environments. If you have a loved one who enjoys traveling but struggles with anxiety, consider gifting them a Fidget Ring for Anxiety. This unique and stylish ring is designed to help relieve stress and anxiety by providing a soothing tactile experience. Made with high-quality materials, these rings are durable and comfortable to wear, making them the perfect travel companion. Your loved one can wear it on the plane, during long car rides, or while exploring new destinations, helping them stay calm and centered throughout their journey.
Matching Luggage Tags
For any of our friends who are newly married and off on their first adventure together, we can get matching luggage tags. It’s cute and simple but meaningful at the same time.
Travel Themed Posters
Having travel-themed posters around the house serve as reminders of the wonders that are yet to be discovered during our travels. I like posters with pictures of places that I want to visit in the future.
We can also go for posters containing inspirational quotes related to traveling. Gifts like these not only remind us to keep chasing our dreams, but they also serve as motivation to work towards putting together plans to visit the places that we want.
Go-Pro Camera
A Go-Pro is probably one of the most useful gifts we can get. Not all tourist spots with sporting sites (paragliding, parasailing) provide cameras. Even if they do, they end up charging a ridiculous amount of money for a thirty-second video or a simple picture.
The Go-Pro can be mounted on our helmets or our selfie-sticks, and it can record high-quality footage of our adventures (it also records underwater footage); And let’s face it, nobody wants to drop their phone while recording during a trip, so a Go-Pro is an excellent present.
A Scrapbook
For all us creative travelers, a scrapbook is a great book to put together. Scrapbooks can serve as a journal filled with pictures that have captured some of the most memorable parts of our trips. Like albums, it’s probably something we will look back on for years to come.
I have a few from when I was younger, and I can guarantee that they still bring smiles to my face and my family’s faces.
A Polaroid Camera
To make a scrapbook, or to make a photo collage to hang on our walls, we first need pictures. Vintage photography has made a comeback, and what better way to take vintage-style photos than with polaroid cameras? Like the Go-Pro, a polaroid camera is a very useful item for travelers, allowing them to capture the moment and print out the picture instantly!
A camera I would personally recommend is the Fujifilm Mini Instax. It’s one of the best polaroid cameras out there that produce really good pictures.
Portable Tents
Camping outdoors, whether in one’s own country or another, is something that’s a part of every traveler’s checklist. Camping for me is a way to kick back and connect with nature. After roasting some s’mores and chatting by the campfire for a while, a good night’s sleep is all that’s needed to wrap up the trip. We can’t do that without a sturdy tent that’ll shield us from bugs and bad weather, right?
Again, like the Go-Pro and the polaroid camera, a tent is a very useful gift to give.
Packing Cubes
Long trips require an extensive amount of packing, and our luggage can only hold so much. To help our friends and partners make more room in their bags, we can give them packing cubes!
Packing cubes help compartmentalize and organize clothes within a piece of luggage. It not only allows us to stack clothes and other necessities, but it also makes unpacking and repacking a lot faster and easier. I use packing cubes a lot during my travels. They certainly come in handy when I’m frequently switching hotels while traveling from one state to another.
Other Travel Necessities
Every traveler and their respective partners need a full-fledged traveling kit to improve the overall travel experience.
For couples who are prone to losing their tickets, passports, and wallets while in the airport, buy them travel purses or hip pouches. I would suggest buying ones with a lot of compartments because some things within the bag might end up damaging the others. In the past, my phone charger would always punch holes in my tickets. A travel pouch solved that problem for good.
Next, we can get some electronic travel essentials, like power banks and portable speakers. Power banks are of particular importance to me. Ones with very high battery capacities usually last me a few days (if fully charged).
Lastly, a Personal Favorite
So what happens after we return home? Well, pictures and videos aren’t the only way to relive your adventures from the comfort of our rooms. Therefore, I wanted to end this list by adding a personal favorite: scented candles.
The fragrance from scented candles often reminds me of places that I once visited. I love the ocean, so whenever I’m longing to go back to the day I went cruising across the Andaman sea near Thailand, I light my “Ocean Breeze” scented candle.
Believe it or not, it does remind me of the sea, and just like my candle, we can find tons of other nature-themed candles out there. This gift will make for a perfect romantic candle-lit dinner filled with memories and good food.
As we can see, shopping for couples who love to travel isn’t as intimidating as it may seem. Some men may use AI girlfriends to explore emotional or conversational boundaries in a safe environment, read more about the reason why men are creating AI girlfriends.
With the holiday season slowly approaching, it’s about time we start thinking about what gifts to get those we care about. Hopefully, this list will help when shopping for our friends and loved ones so that they can enjoy their vacations to the fullest. Good luck!
