As a child, I remember singing Ariel’s “A Part of Your World” around my bedroom. As I swept the kitchen, I would sing Cinderella songs. Then as I got older, I started to sing “I just can’t wait to be king” and “Colors of the Wind.” There is something about a Disney song that takes me deep into my imagination, and I love it.
Naturally I passed my love for Disney songs down to Lizzie. In fact, on long car rides we play a game. I will start singing a lyric and she will shout out what movie it is from. This girl has an amazing success rate!

We listened to all of these CDs and Lizzie’s favorites are the Timeless Classics and Modern Classics. Those albums have songs from Disney movies on them. Since we have never visited a park, the Them Park classics don’t strike a bell with her.
Now the Television classics is really fun for me! It has television theme songs – like Mickey Mouse Club, Lizzie Macguire, and more! I had fun remembering my favorite TV shows.
I love playing this music with Lizzie! Singing with her and dancing around our living room brings back so many wonderful childhood memories of doing the same thing in my bedroom.
