If you love making DIY Beauty products with essential oils, I have a treat for you! A DIY Skin Scrub with Frankincense.
Our luxurious Ultimate Skin Scrub nourishes your skin to reach its peak of radiance while calming and soothing tension and worries.
Each phenomenal ingredient of this scrub was carefully selected for natural properties to restore and rejuvenate your skin to reveal your inner glowing beauty so you can look and feel your best.
Best of all, the Ultimate Scrub can deliver powerful solutions for your skin-related issues with completely all-natural ingredients with no harmful additives or harsh chemicals.
Frankincense Essential Oil
A significant qualifier for making this the “ultimate” scrub is its inclusion of Frankincense essential oil as a main therapeutic ingredient. Frankincense, known as “king of oils” is a powerhouse when it comes to supporting skin health.
Complementing frankincense, lavender and ylang ylang essential oils simultaneously uplift and soothe, encourage and relax while benefitting the skin in similar ways to Frankincense. You do want to be sure to use the highest quality essential oils to ensure that you are only putting on the highest quality plant-based ingredients on your skin, avoiding harsh chemicals that are sometimes used in lower grade essential oils.
Organic Brown Sugar
Organic brown sugar helps keep your skin vivacious and healthy with a versatile type of alpha hydroxyl acid called glycolic acid. Glycolic acid has many anti-aging benefits. It safely removes the outer layer of dead skin cells, bringing fresh, younger-looking new skin to the surface. It also helps improve sun damage by lightening discoloration of the skin, such as sunspots or age spots. Conversely, glycolic acid can also help those with acne and blackhead-prone skin.
Brown sugar is a natural humectant, meaning that it hydrates your skin and helps keep moisture locked in. This same dynamic also guards your skin from destructive toxins and keeps it healthy, nourished and glowing.
Dead Sea & Himalayan Salt
The minerals found in Dead Sea salt protect the skin from the destructive elements of daily exposure, as well as help in reducing acne, psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, dandruff, scabies and seborrhea.
Himalayan salts can improve the texture, tone and appearance of your skin, combat water retention, promote sinus health, prevent muscle cramping and soreness, as well as regulate sleep.
Raw Honey
Raw honey is an amazing natural beauty solution for all skin types because of its healing skin benefits. Its antiseptic and antimicrobial properties make it great for healing cuts and burns by killing bacteria and fungus. Like brown sugar, raw honey also contains glycolic acid that brightens the complexion, evens out skin tone, and lightens scars and age spots. Furthermore, raw honey can do wonders for a wide variety of skin ailments including: acne, enlarged pores, rosacea, eczema, hyperpigmentation, sensitive and/or dull skin.
Grapeseed Oil
Grapeseed oil has amazing properties for all skin types. It has astringent qualities that help tighten skin and close up the pores, improving appearing as well as helping avoid the clogging that leads to pimples. This makes it an ideal, light moisturizer for oily skin types since it won’t clog pores. Conversely, it can be used with sensitive and dry skin because it is so gentle and rejuvenating. Grapeseed oil is also prized for its anti-aging properties, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and improving the elasticity of the skin, making the lines of an aging face less pronounced.
Containing antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, Grapeseed oil provides considerable support for reducing acne and interrupting the cycle that aggravates it. The oil also contains linoleic acid, which is great for promoting skin health because it aids in skin regeneration and reduces inflammation, helping abrasions and even pimples heal faster. Linoleic acid also helps fight acne, softens the skin, and keeps it supple and youthful. Furthermore, it can impressively help facilitate the penetration of other active ingredients such as antioxidants, because of their ability to permeate the skin barrier.
Jojoba Oil
Loaded with essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamin E, and sterols (compounds that reduce inflammation and improve skin metabolism), jojoba oil is great for skin. When applied directly to the skin, jojoba oil has been known to help with acne, psoriasis, sunburn, chapped, dry and flaky skin. It can even help considerably with an oily complexion. Though it may seem counterintuitive to put an oil on your skin if you already have a problem with oily skin, jojoba oil can help regulate the amount of sebum your skin makes, creating less of the unsightly oil that creates the “oily skin” look.
Avocado Oil
Like some of the other oils listed, avocado oil is a natural humectant that works to improve the skin’s ability to retain moisture, making it especially helpful for dry skin. Avocado oil also reduces itching and inflammation of the skin, further making it attractive and soothing to people who suffer from very dry skin or eczema. Along with Avocado, some people might also utilize products such as from Soteri Skin in order to reduce the signs of eczema.
In addition, avocado oil is rich in a type of steroid called sterolin. Sterolins can penetrate deeply into the skin to afford it moisture, which helps reduce the appearance of age spots.
Almond Oil
Almond oil is helpful in many of the same ways of the other oils in the Ultimate scrub, as well as showcasing important sun protection qualities. Applying almond oil to the skin not only helps protect it from the sun’s harmful rays but can also reverse damage that may have already occurred. Since it reduces and reverses damage, almond oil slows down the skin’s aging process while being a natural protectant.
Vitamin E Oil
Finally, vitamin E is a powerhouse for skin health and rejuvenation. Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that prevents premature aging by counteracting the formation of wrinkles by blocking free radical damage. It treats wrinkles and improves elasticity by boosting collagen production. It also treats wrinkles by supporting new skin cell growth and speeding up cell regeneration. Vitamin E’s ability to prevent and repair free radical damage oil also reduces brown spots on the skin, helping to lighten and smooth the rough skin by lubricating cell membranes and encouraging cell regeneration.
Scar healing is another area where the free radical lessening action of pure vitamin E oil shines. Vitamin E works for scar healing and prevention because it goes beneath the surface of skin to block free radicals, which are especially harmful to scar tissue because they prohibit healing. The increased collagen production from vitamin E also helps provide elasticity, which is lacking in scar tissue.
As you can see, this truly is THE Ultimate Skin Scrub!! These amazing ingredients work in combination to support long-lasting skin health, but once you have them on hand they can also be used individually for specific target issues or in multiple combinations to make other sensual, effective and outstanding DIY beauty products.
