It is surprising how delicious this Keto pizza recipe is! And even more shocking that the crust is made with chicken.
There are a few things I miss since I started making Keto my new lifestyle. I miss pasta, baked goods, and pizza. Pizza holds a special place in my heart because its one of the first foods my husband and I bonded over. In fact, pizza day at home or at a pizza restaurant is our holiday!
So I refuse to give up pizza, ever.
Thank goodness for this recipe! Somehow, a mixture of chicken and egg makes a crust that can hold an amazing pesto sauce and melted cheese. It is actually super delicious too!
Keto Pizza Recipe
The only thing missing from this pizza is the aroma of fresh baked yeast. But inside that yeast are all the carbs that I refuse to put into my system. When I replaced a flour crust with chicken and eggs, I noticed the texture is a little different. But the flavor is incredible!
How do you make pizza Keto-Friendly?
There are actually a few ways that you can make a Keto-friendly pizza crust. Here are some of my favorites:
- Cauliflower Pizza Crust
- Chicken Pizza Crust (this one!)
- Almond flour pizza crust
Can you use tomato sauce on Keto pizza?
Yes you sure can! But be careful with tomato sauce. It has a much higher carbohydrate count than pesto. It’s easier to go over your net carbs when you eat tomatoes and sauce.
Veggie Toppings for Keto Pizza
You could top your pizza with fresh spinach, maybe even small bits of broccolini. Drizzle some balsamic vinegar on top for a tangy treat that you won’t forget!

How To Make Pizza Crust Out of Chicken
Here are some step-by-step pictures so you can see how to make this pizza for yourself. But it is so easy, you might just want to scroll down to the recipe itself.
The first step is to lay out a sheet of parchment paper. This is what you will place on the baking sheet, so make sure it is large enough.
Then, drain the chicken and lay it out on the paper. Arrange it in a shape that looks like a pizza. Then, you will bake it at 375 degrees for just about 10 minutes.
Next, scrape all that chicken into a mixing bowl.
This is when you will mix in all your spices and that egg. Give it a good mixing so everything sticks together.
It helps if you really whisk the egg before you put it into the chicken. Then, just stir everything together.
Put everything back on that parchment paper and roll it out into a pizza crust shape. Bake it at 500 degrees for 5 minutes. Then, lift up the parchment paper, lay another piece on the tray, and flip the crust over. You’ll bake it for another 5 short minutes.
How to Make Keto Pizza
Now that you have a pre-baked crust, you are ready to make a pizza! I made a pretty basic one with just cheese and basil leaves. But you can add any toppings you want.
The first step is to take your pre-baked chicken crust and spread out the pesto all over it. Yum!
Then, start filling it up with cheese. I always snack on the cheese during this step.
The last step is the baking! Just bake it for 8 minutes at 500 degrees. You can top it with fresh basil leaves for a bold taste.
