If a vodka cran is your favorite drink, then you are going to love this fruity drink. The orange cranberry cocktail is easy and pretty too!
Half the fun of cocktails is the presentation, and I love a pretty cocktail. This orange cranberry cocktail layers beautifully, even if you are just having a date-night in!
How To Make An Orange Cranberry Cocktail At Home
There are lots of things I love about this drink. Yes, it’s really pretty. It also has the best flavors – it’s dangerously sweet.
I think my ultimate favorite thing about it is that you don’t need any special equipment. Just pour the ingredients into your glass and you are ready to go.
All of the ingredients and directions are in a printable card at the bottom of this post. Here’s what you’ll need from the store to make it.
- Orange Triple-Sec
- Cranberry Juice
- Club Soda
Club Soda Vs Seltzer Water Vs Tonic Water
I used club soda because I prefer the taste of it in my cocktails. Here’s a bit more information about how to choose the best one for you.
Club Soda has added ingredients that make it taste better. Most brands have added sodium to give it a smoother taste.
Seltzer is basically water carbonated with carbon dioxide. It has no other salts or sweeteners. It is really fizzy and has a simple taste.
Tonic Water is carbonated water with lots of other additives like sweeteners and preservatives. It tastes both sweet and bitter.
Feel free to try this drink in lots of different layers and orders of the layers. I added the ice first and then poured the vodka and triple sec.
Then I put the cranberry juice on top.
When you pour the alcohol first, it creates the really pretty layers that you see in my photos.
Garnish with orange slices and a fun straw!
Poured Not Shaken
This drink is poured, not shaken. If you shake it, you won’t have the pink and white layers in the glass. Shaking it will also mix the flavors together better.
