Cool off when the sun is hot with this refreshing watermelon mojito recipe. Even if you don’t drink, this can be made without alcohol!
The Best Summer Drink
There are two things I love the most when it’s the middle of the hottest part of summer – drinks and cold fruit. This cocktail puts both of them together.
Oh and rum…that’s like the perfect summer drink isn’t it? I like it way better than beer or tequila.
Mojitos remind me of Hawaii and this drink just begs you to drink it poolside.
What’s In A Traditional Mojito?
Mojitos are normally made with a combination of the following ingredients:
- Lime
- Mint leaves
- Sugar
- White rum
- Seltzer-water
A Fruity Mojito With A Twist
I took the traditional mojito and some sweet watermelon to it. The result is surprisingly refreshing! Not only does it taste sweeter, but it gives my drink a really pretty pink color too.
I can see this being the perfect drink to serve at a bridal pool party. Those colors are so lovely.
How To Make Non-Alcoholic Mojito
If you want to make a virgin version of this drink, just leave out the rum and use more seltzer water. It will still taste just as fruity and fun.
You can also turn this into a slush if you blend up lots of ice and pour this drink on top.

Thanks for the recipe. I love mojito and watermelon. This combination turned out to be very tasty. Only I did it without rum because my family does not drink it.
